A Small World – Season Four

A Small World - Season Four - N1500

Jamie languishes in jail, arrested for the one crime he didn’t commit. He realises that a guilty conscience is a heavy burden to bear, but where is God when you need Him? It seems it will take divine intervention to deliver him from his physical and mental chains.

Despite their weekend retreat and Oyinda’s new professed faith, Temi seems determined to make him pay for all the hurt he has caused her. Oyinda soon falls back into his old ways, hurt by his wife’s infidelity. It takes a disaster to make them both realise their true feelings, but it seems that time is not on their side…

News of a plane crash from Abuja to Lagos shocks and devastates the country. In the aftermath, old friends are reacquainted, and Danny and Tolu open their hearts to welcome an orphan boy.

Antonia wrestles with her conscience and her family as Samson’s court date looms closer. Mary and her family are presented with an offer to end their troubles. In a country riddled with corruption, it seems as though the truth cannot save the one who holds to it.

  1. So I’ve completed all the seasons, and I have a few things to say.
    1. I absolutely love Ifeanyi and Mary! They’re like the model Christian couple. I love how much they’ve grown with God and with each other. They tell each each other everything, and thus closing any avenues for doubt and mistrust to sneak in. They effectively eliminated any weeds for the foxes to come and hide in.
    2. I’ve learnt something about love. It’s not a feeling. It’s giving, choosing, and accepting. All day, everyday. It’s dying daily to self. To truly love a person, you must know Love Himself. That way, you’d see your partner through God’s eyes. Just the way God loves, forgives, that’s how it’ll be. It’s a wonderful thing truly.
I thank God for the author. God has used her to help me understand this.

    Can’t wait for season 5!

  2. When I finished reading A small world season 4, it was as if I should lay my hands on season 5 immediately cos what manner of suspense is that! But what a book! I love how relatable the characters are, and the way the author wrote the story, despite how many the characters are, you don’t get confused and you still enjoy every bit of the story. Dolapo is the definition of obsessed even though Oyinda did her dirty sha and it’s sad the length she went to hurt Oyinda back. Please Temi I beg you in the name of God, God is not finished with you oh. I love how Amaka experienced God’s intervention in the nick of time. I’m glad the accused were justified and especially how Jamie got to experience God afresh in prison. God was at work in the lives of every character in this particular season. Kemi is finally realising how much she’s loved by God and thereby knowing her worth. I’m also glad for Cindy. All my favourite couples are still going strong, I just don’t understand the fire Ijeoma is playing with sha. I could go on and on but I’ll just say this is a book worth reading. It explores themes like second chance, love, justice, revenge, forgiveness, redemption and peace. It reminds you about the love of God and how God is always working behind the scene even when we can’t see it. Thank you Ufuomaee but can season 5 be out already! Lol

  3. ASW is soo real….
I think that’s what differenciate it from other books.

I love the fact that the Author communicates real life situations that no one might want to talk about.
    That, to me is top-notch.

The dramas in the book, the lessons, the way it evokes ones emotions.
    I love it.

And then every ending leaves you with this intense curiosity to read the next.
I’m so eager to read season 5.

By the way, I wish there was a way to give this a thousand stars. It’s worth it.

  4. Whoosh!!!!!! Boom!!! ASW4 is with a sizzling twist! Solid, Captivating story. Ufuomaee’s way of writing from the different character’s perspective makes this season even more explosive. Is it Oyinda? or Jaime? or Adania? So many more perspectives and you have an amazing story in your hands. From the very beginning, it has been from one banger to another. Unforgiveness open a door and leads down a terrible path something Temi discovered when she opened that door and started the free fall that threatened to shake the core and affect so many around her.
If only…. famous words that keep playing in minds of people when regrets sets in. From Jaime to Samson, to Temi and so many more. This was worth every moment reading. ASW4 reminds us that no one is too far gone for God to save. Faith and trust in God is paramount in our walk with Him and daily, He orders our steps in love. Thank you Ufuomaee. I look forward to discovering what season 5 holds.

  5. Imagine me finishing this book in the wee hours of the morning, scrolling down the pages(I’m reading the e-copy 😁)wanting to know where all the drama would end… Humph!, A Small World season 4 is packed full. The different characters with their trials, triumphs and blessings.

I’m particularly happy for Jamie, from his story, I learnt that God is willing and merciful to change even the worst of all sinners when the person just asks for his help and mercy. I’m happy he got a second chance at life.

This season is filled with lessons from all the characters and my take home is every action one does is bound to have consequences whether good or bad and what people do can have a ripple effect on those around them.

I’m itching to read season 5 as I can’t wait to see what becomes of Temi and that situation she’s in as I’m left wondering 🤔🤔…and hoping the result swings to her favour. The suspense Ufuomaee left us with ehnnnn….🤭
I’ll stop here so I don’t leave any spoilers 😂.

    I’ll rate this a 5 ⭐.

  6. My good Lord! There are no sufficient words to describe the way I felt reading through this book.

This season made me scream, cry, giggle and kick my feet and groan in frustration too many times to count.

This book featured roaming ghosts, funerals and near death experiences, prisons and courts…
Nah, it’s not that gloomy. It also showed some intermittent cosy, swoon worthy scenes between my favourite couples.

I loved this book, especially how the tension from the previous season was nicely resolved. However, thanks to the cliffhanger ending (again!), I’m stuck biting my nails in anticipation for the next season’s release! I can hardly wait, especially since Season 5 is promising to be the happiest season of all!

God bless Ma’am Ufuomaee for the magnificent work on this series. More grace.

  7. Almost two years ago, Ufuomaee reached out to me with an ARC of this book. She guaranteed I’d be able to follow, understand and enjoy the story even though I had only read one of the prelude books. She was right; I was able to follow, understand and enjoy the story.

Fast forward to now when I’m reading again, I can only say wow. I can feel the pains, joys and celebrations of each character even more now that I know where they came from and how they’ve journeyed and grown. Without doubt, Ufuomaee is a masterful storyteller.

When I read this book in January 2023, I wished I had an ARC of Season 5, so I could know what would happen next. This time around, I do!

I can’t wait to know what happens in the ‘happiest season of all’.

To anyone reading this review, wondering “So is it worth the read or what is the point of this anecdote?”, well, it is! Go find out why for yourself

  8. ASW 4 is it for me 💯 I love this book so much the way God showed intentionality to all characters was perfect like I’m rooting for Cindy because omo mehnnn, i just love that ASW 4 addressed peace and faith like look at Fatima and Mr. Solomon snr. , I also love that it shows the importance of accountability amongst others and I just can’t stop thinking about Dolapo because the suspense when all those commotions happened kept my heart beating. Now I just can’t wait for ASW 5 because I want Oyinda to scale through 🤭💯.

The way Ma Ufuomaee wove together the intricate plot twists, character developments, and emotional depth had me hooked from start to finishhh I just couldn’t take my eyes off. The themes of love, redemption, self-discovery resonated deeply with me, and I loved how Ufuomaee explored these complex ideas.

Bring on ASW5 ! I’m ready to dive back into this captivating world.

  9. Whewwwwww!!!!
Where do I begin? Do I begin with how engaging and unputdownable( if that word exist at all) this book is, or how excellent each of the characters are, or I should explain how my thoughts, mood and behavior were controlled by the storyline and theme of this book while reading it, or the plot twists. I don’t even know how to explain the energy that emits from A small world 4
As I turned the pages, I found myself fully invested – laughing, crying, screaming, and cheering alongside the characters.
A small World 4 is a testament of God’s faithfulness, that God is good, and that No matter what we are going through God is right there with us and he’ll never leave nor forsake us.
Mama Ufuomaee, you’ve outdone yourself. ASW 4 is a masterpiece.
Rating: 5/5 stars (I’d give it 10 if I could)

N.B: If you haven’t started this series yet, what are you waiting for?

  10. A small world season 4 was the Author’s way of showing off. I loved the first point of view narration, it made it easier to follow the story. There was also the present tense narration.
Ufuomaee did extremely well here abeg.

She even showed us few scenes from the afterlife.

I loved the way things turned out well for most of the characters.

Ufuomaee did well here and I’m happy.
