A Small World – Season Two

A Small World - Season Two - N2000

The story continues from Valentine's Day as Danny and Tolu prepare for their wedding. However, Tolu's ex-boyfriend, Femi, is unwilling to yield his hold on her. Dami and Sola have finally confirmed their wedding date, but Dami doesn't know that Sola's having financial problems...and cold feet. Jason is sure God told him that Fiona is his wife, and he has proposed, much to her delight. The only problem now is getting the approval of her obstinate, Catholic parents to proceed.

Adania went into a coma on Valentine's Day after a traumatic experience that resulted in a very dangerous fall down the stairs. Will she ever wake up? Her sister, Amaka, is still picking up the pieces of her failed marriage and learning about her new faith. However, she hasn't yet learnt to discern the sheep from the wolves in sheep's clothing... Promise must face the consequences of her actions again when Ope's old friend comes seeking his support. Richard is a man with an axe to grind, and he is determined to make Promise pay for what she did to him four years ago.

In this jam-packed, explosive season of A Small World, we see how blurry the line is between saints and sinners and the need to have a sincere faith and purified love to navigate the many complexities of life.

  2. Gbas gbos left right centre.

Just when you think the drama is over, there’s another curve ball waiting. Different characters, different episodes.

I think this is a book you should experience rather than get told about.

I loved the cliffhanger at the end, and I love how the funeral wasn’t the funeral I was expecting. I can’t wait to start season 3.

  3. This book! I don’t know how I’m feeling oh. It’s interesting how the funeral wasn’t one I was expecting. It was so sad and needless too but is reflective of what is happening in the society today.
Oh, the twists and turns in this story! Please uncle Bolu, control yourself oh. All the characters brought their A-game. This particular was one was quite intense and reflects how weak we are as humans, we need God’s constant help to be strong always. Broda David finally snapped too. The ending is making me want to rush to the next book. It’s 10/10 minus nothing. Ufuomaee keeps blowing my mind.

  4. Honesty and truth is the bedrock for every successful relationship. This book is packed full with nuggets. One great lesson is that little foxes are not so little in their harm in relationship. Best to prevent those little foxes from growing to prevent regret later in life. Distrust, busyness, unforgiveness could destroy a marriage or relationship. This book is a must read. You will smile, exclaim in joy but also vent and cry when you see some decisions and steps taken by some characters. Overall, listening to God’s voice and following His will is the key and strength to walking with God. Thank you Ufuomaee for another awesome book.

  5. Waow, I think I’m loving Mama Ufuomaee the more with each book.
There are so many themes that was explored in “A small World 2”- infidelity, bullying etc.I think this is the most emotional one I’ve read so far.
NB: what are you still doing not reading Mama Ufuomaee’s books, you’re really missing out.

  6. …..And the story continues giving us a more insightful and intriguing peek into the lives of all of the characters of A Small World season.
Some of these characters were incredibly annoying, some made me leave my mouth agape pondering about their actions while others were just plain interesting and their lives filled with different lessons.
One take out for me would be that there’s nothing hidden under the sun that would not eventually come to the limelight. As much as possible an open communication would always save the day.
Also, good always triumphs over evil no matter how long it takes.
I so much enjoyed this season and I must say Ufuomaee has mastered the art of weaving several characters together with each having its own story and contributing to making the grand picture a masterpiece.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  7. The sigh of relief I gave when I saw that the funeral wasn’t what I expected.
That was a wonderful plot twist.

And as usual so many lessons to learn from this book.
One thing I so much love about the Author is that she shows and not just tells.
Her writings paints pictures. It always feels like I’m watching a movie.

You are the real deal, ma.

  8. A Small World 2 is a very emotional book and was written marvelously and expressed wella it treated a whole lot of things from marriage, infidelity, love and bullying which is the MOST painful part for me, when I started I was like who will die is it Adania, Amaka or Dolapo I definitely did not expect it.
I also loved they way every one was connected even David 😂 it was a very eye opening time for me and I loved that it let me evaluate real life issues as I read.

  9. When I saw the title of this book, I thought Adania was going to die. Although I’m glad that she is alive, I wasn’t expecting this death at all. I cried so much! But at the end of the day, life goes on.
I admire Mary’s strength so much and I’m glad her husband is such a strong support.
I’m running off to the 3rd book, can’t wait!

  10. When I read the title, I was frightened. I was like, ‘who’s going to die now, eh?’ I most certainly did not expect the outcome. Mama Ufuomaee has mastered the art of building suspense, and she also writes realistically. She writes about the actual issues that plague homes and families today.
Sometimes, I wish that people like David and Oyinda do not exist in real life, but unfortunately, they do. Sigh….
Anyway, this is a wonderful read. Well done Mama..
    Onto season 3!

  11. Just when i thought the dramas was over, Ufuomaee decided to give us back to back in ASW season 2.

The plot twists shocked me and when I thought it was over, I discovered that it just the beginning to an end!

From the book subtitle to the end, it was a hit! This is a good read!

As usual, there are so many lessons I learnt from the book.

  12. This book ehh…
    It is just gbas gbos
left and right, back and center in a good way though
Like I just want to move to the next because it is so appetising that you want to know what comes next
I really learnt a lot from the book. It shows the ups and downs of marriage and how it takes two to work it out. It shows that even in marriage there can be temptations but you have to be wise and be in God.
I was pained and sad at some point especially…….. but go and read it sha to find out 😌
But all in all the book is wonderful

  13. Wow what a journey of a story.
Where do I start … this book has a lot of learning nuggets. Marriage is an unpredictable journey with lots of ups and downs, if God is not at the centre of it, it will not survive . The sermon preached by the pastor at Danny and Tolu’s wedding has been engraved in my memory! Beware of the weeds and little foxes. My heart broke for Mary again , what a deverstating loss , she endures .
On the flipside am happy Richard and David are rotting in prison . There is no other place to house them . Hopefully Oyinda will follow soon, for what he did to ex mistresses dog was criminal!

  14. A small world Season 2 was a lot. The author touched everywhere.
There are characters I loved extra, characters I was rooting for then characters that I want to send a slap across to. There are even characters I do not even care about and their actions no concern me. There were also characters that their change and redemption gave me shock and also gladdened my heart. Then some characters are equally beginning to move out of place.

There was an issue tackled in the book that I love and that is bullying. Ufuomaee did it well and even gave us the consequences which is terrible. Parents should try and caution the children against bullying.

Season was a child’s play compared to this season 2. This one was a lot and I sincerely can’t wait to get to season 3.

  15. Wow! That was a truly immersive ride. Ma’am Ufuomaee is a masterful storyteller. I still find it a beautiful mystery to comprehend how she was able to carefully craft out such relatable characters and events in a way that they didn’t clash.
I know I should have braced myself, given the subtitle of this season 2, but I’m still feeling mixed emotions as I write this review. A bittersweet tang at the edge of my mind.
One major take-home lesson I grasped from this story is the importance of honesty and openness in our relationships and interactions with people we love. I also learnt that emotions can be very tricky; it is no respecter of one’s ‘relationship status’. The true measure of love is the willingness to sacrifice what is seemingly harmless for the greater good.
All the characters in this story made me feel highs and lows.
I highly recommend this story to everyone, but with a clause: Get your Kleenex ready and close by as you read this book.
I cannot wait to dive into the third book of this amazing series. God bless the author for such a lovely and purposeful book.

  16. 3 weddings and a funeral. Definitely not the funeral I could even predict.
I really enjoyed the progressions on the stories of each character in the small world,by the author.
One thing that really stood out for me in this book was the way the author gave preeminence to the sanctity of the marital institution above emotions and feelings of the mind and body.
With the way book 2 ended with cliffhangers,I can’t wait but jump right in book 3 in this small world series.
